Q. - Hi, I am new to Terrell and I was just wondering what to do when I hear gunfire. I have lived here for about 2 weeks. There have been about 3 or 4 nights that I heard gunfire. Is that normal here? Should I call the police?

 

Answer - The address you submitted at appears to be in the Lawrence Community. If that is your residence address, you do not reside within the city limits of the City of Terrell.

 

I realize you probably have a Terrell postal address but that just means that the Post Office handles your mail through the Post Office in Terrell.

 

I know that Lawrence does not have any community law enforcement, so my suggestion would be to contact the Kaufman County Sheriff Department with any law enforcement concerns. They can be reached at 972-932-4337.
