Q. - With the problems of the item called "K2", what will the Terrell City Council do in regards to banning this problem? PLEASE ban this - we don't need another thing for our young people. As well as others to become addicted to this. Thank you!

Answer - Thanks for your inquiry.

 

Based on what I have read and been told, people who buy K2 really have no way of knowing what is in it or how it may have been processed. Since it is generally sold as incense and not for human consumption it is not regulated.

 

We have a number of stores in town selling K2 and my choice will be to do business elsewhere.

 

As far as a City ordinance goes, it is almost certain that the Texas Legislature will be considering K2 regulation. Since State Law generally takes precedence over a City ordinance, it seems wise to me that we take a wait and see approach. It seems unwise to go through the expense and process of creating a City ordinance that may soon be made irrelevant by the Legislature.
