Q. - The city's website states that the pool has family swim Fridays and Sundays form 3-6. I showed up with my family to a sign hanging stating closed on Sundays to the public.

 

Why is the pool closed more than it is open? Why does the city not invest in our pool and why was money taken away from the program?

 

The cities of Mesquite and Rowlett have city-owned water parks that are very nice and open all the time - why doesn't Terrell do this?

Answer - The website has been updated to reflect the pool's modified hours.

 

The city staff made a decision to close on Sundays because of a lack of sufficient attendance and the cost of operation.

 

The city can save a few thousand dollars annually by closing to the public on Sundays.

 

Unfortunately, we do not have the resources available to the cities of Mesquite and Rowlett, so we cannot operate the way they do.
