Q - There are no speed limit signs on the new Highway 34 extension. The drivers are driving like NASCAR drivers. When will speed limit signs be placed on this highway? The cross streets are very dangerous when you try to cross because of the excessive speed of these drivers.

Answer - Signs and other matters having to do with a state highway are the jurisdiction of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDoT).

 

The City is aware of the lack of speed limit signs. We know too that TxDOT has it in their plans to install signs. If you would like to get specific information about their plans you might want to contact them.
