Q. I would like to know if you intend to raise the city's tax rate. (8/2007)

 

A. No, as mayor I do not anticipate a tax rate increase this year. Terrell's taxable valuations increased approximately 6% from the previous year. This is attributed to the community's growth in residential and commercial development. The added values to the property tax roll should generate sufficient revenues to help fund current city services.
