Q. - When will the City of Terrell get a memorial to our veterans? It's a bit embarrassing to be the only city in the area without one.

Answer - A memorial to our veterans is a great idea. I believe that the veterans’ memorials in most cities have been created and funded by community volunteer groups rather than the city government.

 

Recently, one of our outstanding Terrell High School students, Chase Mosley, has launched just such an effort. There was a recent article in the Terrell Tribune by Don Johnson that you might appreciate. You can see at this link.

 

I know that any such effort will take a lot of community involvement. If you were interested in helping out in some way, I would suggest you contact Tina Schultz at Terrell High School to explore the possibilities.
