CITY COUNCIL MEETING

APRIL 27, 1998

5:00 P.M.

A regular meeting of the Terrell City Council was held on April 27, 1998 at 5:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 201 East Nash Street, with the following members present:

1. CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Don L. Lindsey called the meeting to order.

2. DISCUSS AND CONSIDER SUBMISSION OF BID FOR 1999 DIXIE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES

Gordon Pierce, Danny Booth and Michael Chitty presented to Council for consideration the submission of bid for 1999 Dixie League World Series. Councilmember Frances Anderson made a motion to approve $125,000.00 commitment to the bid. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Jack Jones. Ayes - all; Nayes - none. Motion carried.

3. DISCUSS AND CONSIDER APPROVAL OF 1998 HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS PROGRAM

Gordon Pierce, Tim Glendenning and Debbie Zajac presented to Council for consideration for approval of 1998 Home Investment Partnerships Program. Councilmember James Huffman made a motion to approve the 1998 Home Investment Partnerships Program with Life Rebuilders, Inc. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Tommy Spencer. Ayes - all; Nayes - none. Motion carried.

4. DISCUSS AND CONSIDER 1998 HOME GRANT APPLICATIONS

Tim Glendenning discussed 1998 Home Grant Applications. There was no action taken on this item.

5. DISCUSS AND CONSIDER WORKSHOP AND AGENDA BRIEFING PROCEDURES

Gordon Pierce discussed workshop and agenda briefing procedures. There was no action taken on this item.

There were no other items discussed or acted on at this meeting. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
