SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING

MAY 9, 2001

10:00 A.M.

A special meeting of the Terrell City Council was held on Wednesday, May 9, 2001 in the Council Chambers at 201 East Nash Street, Terrell, Texas with the following members present:

COUNCILMEMBER #1 HENRY C. MADGWICK, SR.
COUNCILMEMBER #2 TOMMY SPENCER
COUNCILMEMBER #3 FRANCES ANDERSON
COUNCILMEMBER #4 LEE SCHAEFFER
COUNCILMEMBER #5 JAMES HUFFMAN

1. CALL TO ORDER.

Mayor Henry C. Madgwick, Sr. called the meeting to order. Mayor Madgwick presented a proclamation to Hallie Holbert Waggoner in recognition of her 100th birthday. Mrs. Waggoner thanked the Mayor and Council for their recognition.

2. CONDUCT CANVASS OF VOTES FOR MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD MAY 5, 2001.

City Secretary John Rounsavall presented to Council the May 5, 2001 General Election Results. Mayor Henry Madgwick appointed Councilmember James Huffman and Councilmember Tommy Spencer to canvass the votes. Councilmember James Huffman report to Council that Dr. Horace Flatt received 257 votes and Rick Carmona received 399 votes.

3. ADJOURN

There were no other matters discussed or acted on at this meeting. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
