SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING

JUNE 11, 2001

5:30 P.M.

A special meeting of the Terrell City Council was held on Monday, June 11, 2001 in the Council Chambers at 201 East Nash Street, Terrell, Texas with the following members present:

COUNCILMEMBER #1 HENRY C. MADGWICK, SR.
COUNCILMEMBER #2 TOMMY SPENCER
COUNCILMEMBER #3 FRANCES ANDERSON
COUNCILMEMBER #4 LEE SCHAEFFER
COUNCILMEMBER #5 RICK CARMONA

1. CALL TO ORDER.

Mayor Henry C. Madgwick, Sr. called the meeting to order.

2. CONTINUE NEGOTIATIONS WITH COMMITTEE OF PETITIONERS FOR TERRELL POLICE OFFICERS AND CONSIDER ACTIONS.

Mayor Henry Madgwick announced that the City Council had reviewed the Committee's offer. The Committee was presented the City's Final offer and a resolution to adopt 90% of the Market and consider how future COLA's would be calculated. The Committee recessed to consider the offer. Upon reconvening, the Committee accepted the 15% with the proposed the Cost of Living increase to be included in the pay plan. The Council revised the resolution for staff to present a COLA proposal at each budget year.

3. SET NEXT MEETING DATE, TIME AND LOCATION, IF NECESSARY.

No action taken on this item.

4. ADJOURN

There were no other matters discussed or acted on at this meeting. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
