What is being done about the poor water quality but 3x higher than surrounding city costs?
Q. -What is being done about the poor water quality but 3x higher than surrounding city costs? Especially with Terrell’s water now being tested positive for cancer causing agents like chromium 6 and other awful chemicals?
Answer – Thanks for your inquiry.
The City of Terrell purchases water from North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD). Both NTMWD and the City of Terrell are required to perform tests on treated water on a routine basis.
The results are reported to the state agency, TCEQ, who oversees and enforces these results if in violation of limits set by EPA and /or TCEQ. The most recent water testing results for Terrell indicated a Superior Rating and is in full compliance with federal and state regulations.
