9-1-1 Call Difficulties

Terrell, like other cities throughout the nation, has been experiencing sporadic difficulties reaching emergency services via 9-1-1. Anyone needing emergency service who is unable to get through should call this non-emergency number: 469-474-2700

Mayor Presents Proclamation Honoring Retiring Kaufman County Judge

City of Terrell Mayor D. J. Ory presented The Honorable Judge Bruce Wood with a proclamation naming Dec. 20 “The Honorable Judge Bruce Wood Day” during a surprise reception Dec. 20 in Kaufman. Wood, a former teacher and school superintendent for both Terrell and Kaufman, was honored with and a standing-room-only crowd that included fellow judges, former students, attorneys, law enforcement officials, family and friends who paid tribute to Wood’s eight years of county service. Also in attendance were his predecessor Judge Wayne Gent and his successor Hal Richards, former Mayor of Terrell.

CCS Closing

In observance of the holidays, the Terrell Citizens Convenience Station located on County Road 319 will be closed on Saturday, December 22, 2018. It will reopen on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at 9 am.

Holiday Curb Side Collection Service Schedule

There will be no trash service on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25, 2018, or on New Years Day Tuesday, January 1, 2019.

Please see the curbside collection schedule below:

For Christmas Day:

Tuesday route will be collected on Wednesday, December 26, 2018
Thursday route will be collected on Friday, December 28, 2018
Friday route will be collected on Saturday, December 29, 2018

For New Years Day:

Tuesday route will be collected on Wednesday, January 2, 2019
Thursday route will be collected on Friday, January 4, 2019
Friday route will be collected on Saturday, January 5, 2019

Curbside collection will return to its normal schedule on Monday, January 7, 2019.

Trash must be at the curb by 7:00 am for pick-up.
