Municipal Court

Responsibilities

The Municipal Court is the Judicial Branch of the City Government. The Terrell Municipal Court handles traffic tickets issued in the city, criminal complaints, and ordinance violations.

The Honorable Judge Mike Smith presides over the court. The Municipal Court maintains all court records, ensures the orderly conduct of court sessions, and accounts for all fiscal matters involving City Court, including the juvenile schedule, fine information, summons, and warrants.

Fine Payments

Fines can be paid online through secure server connections with the latest encryption methods. You will need your ticket/citation number and possibly your driver’s license number, date of birth, or Social Security number. Paying your case through this service results in a judgment and conviction. If payment is for a moving violation it will be on your driving record. Payments for Deferred Disposition or driver safety fees cannot be paid through this service.
