The Terrell Independent School District operates a state-leading Career and Technical program that trains Terrell's high school students to be skilled workers for the Terrell marketplace.
Terrell citizens recognize the importance of investing in the Terrell ISD. In 2016, Terrell ISD voters approved a $45 million bond proposal. The proposal was approved by TISD voters by a margin of 63-37%. TISD renovated and upgraded all elementary schools in order to transition to a Kindergarten through 5th grade model, built a separate 6th grade academy at Furlough Middle School and constructed at the ExCel Center (Excellence Center for Enhanced Learning) and made safety upgrades at all TISD campuses.
Trinity Valley Community College offers a dual credit partnership with Terrell ISD, allowing students to receive college and high school credits simultaneously. TVCC offers college credit courses for approved core curriculum and career technical education courses. Terrell's TVCC campus is located at 1200 E I-20. The phone number if 972-563-4929. The TVCC Health Science Center is located at 1551 S State Highway 34 in Terrell. The campus offers multiple Health Occupations Programs.
