Not long after graduation, I joined the Terrell Volunteer Fire Department in 1987 and discovered my passion for the fire service. A year later, in 1988, I was hired by the University Park Fire Department where I spent the next 31 years. While at University Park, I served as a Firefighter/Paramedic, second Driver/Engineer, Captain, Battalion Chief and Assistant Fire Chief before retiring in 2018 to pursue my current position as the Terrell Fire Chief.
