This year the City Of Terrell will again be participating in the Annual Free Chlorine Maintenance Program. Residents may experience taste and odor concerns with the water during this period. Many times, these can be resolved by running the water in your sink for a few minutes. If problems persist, you may call 972-551-6635 ext. 5103 or ext. 5102 and discuss it with our Water Quality Department. City staff may have to conduct additional flushing efforts at fire hydrants in your area to help resolve the concerns. The free chlorine maintenance process is approved by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). It is conducted to improve overall water quality in the system.
