The Terrell Independent School District operates a state-leading Career and Technical program that trains Terrell’s high school students to be skilled workers for the Terrell marketplace.


Terrell citizens recognize the importance of investing in the Terrell ISD.  In 2016, Terrell ISD voters approved a $45 million bond proposal.  The proposal was approved by TISD voters by a margin of 63-37 percent.  TISD has now begun the process of renovating and upgrading all elementary schools in order to transition to a Kindergarten through 5th grade model, building a separate 6th grade academy at Furlough Middle School, building an Excellence Center for Enhanced Learning (ExCEL Center), building a multi-purpose facility at Terrell High School, and making safety upgrades at all TISD campuses.

Trinity Valley Community College is renovating a structure on State Highway 34S to serve as the home of a health and science campus focused on developing the next generation of nurses.
