City Parks

The City of Terrell understands how important parks and open space are to the well-being of our citizens.

To best serve the outdoor recreation needs of our community, we have developed a long-term Park Master Plan for improving the city’s existing park facilities.

Pavilion at Ben Gill Park

Residents who live within the Terrell City limits may rent the pavilion at Ben Gill Park for picnics or parties.

The refundable $100 deposit is returned when the pavilion is left in good condition after the rental. The rental fee is $25 per hour with a two-hour minimum. Non-profit organizations may use the pavilion free of charge. Groups may not charge admission or conduct fundraising activities at the pavilion. Breezy Hill Park

Residents who live within the Terrell City Limits may rent the Breezy Hill Park community room.

The refundable $50 deposit is returned when the community room is left in good condition after the rental.  The rental fee is $25 for up to four hours, $50 for four or more hours.  Non-profit organizations are not required to pay a rental fee (proof of non-profit required).  Groups may not charge admission or conduct fundraising activities at the park.  Call City Hall at 972-551-6600 for reservation information, or click here to reserve.  Reservation rental fees must be paid in full a minimum of 48 hours prior to the rental date/time.

Tennis Center

The Tennis Center, adjacent to the swimming pool in Ben Gill Park, has six courts for recreational play. Reservations are not needed to use the tennis courts. Organized leagues have priority in use of the courts.

Softball Fields

The lighted softball fields at Ben Gill Park may be reserved by calling 972-551-6614.  Fields are available for practice seven days a week unless scheduled for games. To arrange for lights for evening practices, call at least 24 hours in advance.

To report damage or maintenance problems at a city park or playground, contact the department at 972-551-6614 during regular office hours.

If you see vandalism in progress, call 911 and report it to the Terrell Police Department.
