Clean Ups

The City of Terrell sponsors four (4) one-day residential cleanup events each year.

During each one-day event, citizens can dispose of residential solid waste at the Citizens’ Convenience Station free of charge from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. No commercial dumping allowed. Proof of residency is required in the form of a Texas Driver’s License or a current water bill. For more information, contact the City of Terrell Service Center at 972-551-6614.

Free Residential Clean Up Events for 2019:

When:

Acceptable items:

  • Appliances (Freon® must be removed)
  • Automotive Batteries
  • Bulky Items (Furniture, etc.)
  • Oil Filters
  • Cement/Rock
  • Tires (Limit 4 total per residence)
  • Household trash
  • Brush (tree limbs, shrubs, etc.)
Non-Acceptable Items:

  • Chemicals
  • Paint
  • Pesticides
  • No Commercial dumping
  • No roofing shingles
  • No Construction Debris
  • Cement/Rock
  • Hazardous Materials* (any product labeled WARNING, CAUTION, POISONOUS, TOXIC, FLAMMABLE, CORROSIVE, REACTIVE or EXPLOSIVE)

Requirements:

  • Must live in city limits of Terrell
  • Must have valid drivers license or current water bill
  • Must dispose of residential solid waste; no commercial dumping allowed

Free Countywide Clean Up

Kaufman County sponsors a free clean up event each May for residents of Kaufman County. For more information contact your County Precinct or the Kaufman County Extension office at 972-563-0233.
